The 3rd FISU World University Weightlifting Championships is organized under the auspices of FISU by the Israel Academic Sports Association (ASA) in Eilat, Israel.

Participants will stay at the NOVA Hotel - Hativat Ha'Negev 6, Eilat.
During the period of Championship, the Organizing Committee will arrange the participating delegations’ accommodation, food, and shuttle/transportation. However, all domestic and international long distance telephone calls and fax, beverage in mini bar, and pay-services shall be at the expense of users.
Israel is a small country, and it is therefore easy to get from one place to another in a relatively short time.
The Organizing Committee will provide transportation between Eilat (airport) and Nova Hotel. Shuttle bus will be provided for transporting competitors and officials between the residing hotels and the competition venues. Separate transportation will be provided for technical officials and VIPs.

The Organizing Committee will do its utmost to guarantee the safety of all participants. By combining local police, security units, and volunteers, the Organizing Committee will form a Security Protection Team responsible for security and safety at competition and training sites, athletes village, during the opening and closing ceremonies, cultural events, etc. by security check, electronic surveillance or by using other necessary means.
Participating country shall be responsible for its delegation’s international travel costs to and from Eilat.
For the purpose of opening and victory ceremonies, the participating delegations are requested to bring with them 2 national/regional flags (96 x 144cm) as duly registered with FISU
Eilat has a Desert climate with hot, dry summers and warm and almost rainless winters. Winters are usually between 11 °C (52 °F) to 23 °C(73 °F). Summers are usually between 26 °C (79 °F) to 40 °C (100 °F).

The 3rd Weightlifting WUC will be run in accordance with the recently updated IWF Constitution and Technical/Competition Rules and related rules stipulated by FISU.
The competititons will be carried out with ELEIKO barbells.
Men: 56kg, 62kg, 69kg, 77kg, 85kg, 94kg, 105kg, +105kg
Women:: 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg, +75kg
Each country is authorized to enter a maximum of fifteen (15) competitors from which eight (8) men competitors and seven (7) women competitors spread over the different categories with a maximum of two (2) competitors per category and officials.
National University Sport Federations must submit the Entries by means of the Entry Forms / online entry procedure For the Weightlifting WUC an online accreditation system will be used. That means all accreditation forms (general, quantitative, nominative/individual) have to be filled in online and submitted digitally. Only the competitors who satisfy the following conditions may take part:
Doping control will be conducted under the supervision of the FISU Medical Committee delegate before, during or after the competition, with all participating competitors subject to drug testing in compliance with the regulations laid down by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
At the first General Technical Meeting, the head of Delegation or his representative shall confirm and sign the official list of competitors accredited by the CISCA.
The FISU TC Chair and the IWF Delegate will select a suitable number of Technical Officials (International Category 1 Technical Officials) based on proposals by the participating nations. The Organising Committee will provide free accommodation and board for these TOs during the 3rd Weightlifting WUC.
The countries invited to participate must follow the following procedure.
Country must ensure that all their entries reach the Organizing Committee (OC) in due time and in the form prescribed by the OC and the FISU Regulations.
Entry forms must be completed in capital letters (typed or hand-written) in one of the working languages of FISU (English) and must be submitted according to the procedure laid down by the Organizing Committee.

Entries arriving after the required deadlines will not be taken into consideration, except in extraordinary circumstances, with the agreement of the FISU Executive Committee and after having consulted with the Organizing Committee.
The entry forms must be countersigned by an official representative of the organization invited to participate and stamped with a seal from this organization.

The fee covers the costs of accommodations, meals (FB), shuttle/transportation, social activities, etc.
All participating countries are requested to pay to the following bank a prepayment of 25% of participation fees for each athlete and official by 06.09.12, simultaneously with forwarding the Nominative Entry Form, and upon their arrival, pay to the Organizing Committee the remaining balance:
